Los Angeles-based artist/producer duo Grace & Moji, comprising Grace Hong and Martin Wave, have released their latest single, “Tipping Point,” alongside a sparkling, symbolically important music video.

Her upbringing defined Grace’s story. A native New Yorker, she was raised in what she calls “a chaotic home” by Korean immigrants. Grace's childhood was plagued by violence and abuse, with her mother's schizophrenia and other mental health problems making it a chaotic and extreme environment. Despite these challenges, she secured a scholarship to a boarding school and left home at 14. With the difficulties of her youth, Grace took solace in classical piano and voice. She had a flare for music and art, which stayed with her even as she entered a career in the corporate world of Wall Street. In 2021, Grace decided she needed to pursue her musical ambitions before time ran away. She released her debut single ‘Wake Up’ under the ‘Nolo Grace’ moniker that same year. At the same time, she was involved in the music industry in other ways, including business consulting, co-founding the creative community PARASOL, and serving on the Board of Directors for Save The Music, a nonprofit organization.
Martin’s story starts further away. An award-winning music producer and multi-instrumentalist, Martin hails from Sweden but relocated to Los Angeles in 2018. Since then, he has amassed an impressive portfolio in the art world, which has seen him do everything from collaborating with million-streaming artists to composing for films and video games. He has won praise for his blend of cinematic soundscapes, beats, and introspective lyrics, reflecting his ability to evoke emotions and create immersive experiences.
The two artists met and quickly fell into a heady romance, which saw them get married in a flash. This fateful decision set the scene for how they would approach their music in the future. While deeply in love, they admit they weren’t always prepared to deal with the tensions, complexities, and revelations post-Wedding Day.
They turned to music - a form of expression that had always provided for them. Their first single, ‘Our Love,’ chimed with hundreds of thousands of listeners because it offered a raw take on how two people can negotiate the difficulties of a relationship.
Their latest release, ‘Tipping Point,’ is similar in its bracing honesty, but the accompanying music video sees the couple go one step further in their vulnerability.
