Stefano May's Crazy new release is here.

The last time we had Stefano May on Rival, I had nothing but high praise for him, and fortunately, that continues to this day with his newest song and music video, titled "Crazy", a heart-wrenching and slow-burn ballad where he shows his most vulnerable side to the audience.

May's vocals are on point as ever, really laying it on the side of vulnerability and transmitting a sense of unease, communicating more through his notes than his words, which is precisely what the song is about -an inner turmoil that we can hardly put into words.

“In everyone’s life, there is a moment when words cannot convey the gravity of a troubling situation to another. The power and beauty of music builds connection and closes this gap." May has received acclaim from the likes of CNN, Ladygunn, Earmilk, GLAAD, Celebmix and Great Day Live to name a few. - Stefano May

When words failt to get the point across and to allow for much-needed catharsis, we thankfully have music still there for us. The relatively sparse soundscape of "Crazy" is reflective of the kind of isolation we experience when we're unable (or unwilling) to communicate to others just how we feel; this is further elaborated upon by the music video shot and directed by Wesley Quinn, in which a lonesome Stefano May explores a cold and mostly empty world as if looking for understanding between far-off memories flickering with warmth.

"Crazy" is mostly stripped-down and minimalistic and relies largely on Stefano's impressive vocals for its impact, however, we also get the opportunity to appreciate his undeniable mastery of the piano, especially as the song slowly builds up to its more hopeful, soaring moments. This is paralleled quite subtly with the music video, as the warmth and brightness of the song seem to pierce through the cold ambiance of its visual language, assuring us that we can always emerge from the craziness of our lives...
