Jack Powers: ‘Forever’ irreverent

Sporting an extravagant head of blue hair that glimmers in stark contrast to this wiry half-naked figure, part warrior, part dominator, and part dominated, more than transgressive enough and accompanied by crucifixes that witness to everything he does, Jack Powers presents his new single "Forever".

Whether you find it uncomfortable or you downright dig it, his provocative aesthetic will not leave you without an opinion or a comment. Jack brings what's seemingly a sexy webcam call, with captivating choreography, and BSDM barely-there wardrobe, mixed with sensual dancing movements. On the other side of the camera, someone enjoys watching him with candles and again with the omnipresent motif: crucifixes

The video was directed by Spencer Clark, with ideas from Jack himself. It May seem like a risky move (if not Risque), but in this case, it's the kind of irreverent and impactful imagery that's always paid off for him. These dark and carnal undertones are complemented by the composition of the music: synths, smooth pop rhythms, vocals that border on a whisper, and a catchy, club-ready melody.

The track is rather subtle-sounding and ‘thin’ on the body, like a luxurious silken robe that gracefully falls over you, and something about it makes you get sucked into its inviting ritual trance, forcing you to hit that repeat button.

Powers has won over his solid fan base through masterful shows that have become famous through word-of-mouth performances of his clubs from New York to Paris. He is a musician, poet, classically-trained dancer, and fashion designer. With 'Forever', Jack has extended the boundaries of his capabilities and anticipates the caliber, magic, sensuality, and irreverence that we will find on his next EP.
