Punk has always been about rebellion, nonconformity, and sticking it to the man. It's a genre that thrives on oozing energy, unapologetic lyrics, and a DIY attitude. And while the genre may have had its heyday in the late 1970s and early 1980s, DanceToFelix is here to show us punk’s spirit is very much alive.
Led by the visionary singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Ben Felix Mironer, DanceToFelix is a project that embodies the essence of punk with a modern twist. Now he’s gracing the world with a new video/single "Bad Behavior:"
I can safely say it is one of the best songs I have had the pleasure of listening to this year. Ben invites you to let loose and embrace your wild side. The video starts with an intro to set up things. Kinda slow, setting the mood however everything is turned to 100 very quickly. After this, the song really starts. Showing us some kinetic energy alongside lively guitar riffs, it's very clear he’s not holding anything back. I can get behind Ben's no-bullshit take on everything. The arrangement is a perfect reflection of what modern punk should sound like. The fast-pacing drums, combined with the aforementioned guitars and powerful voice work are blended to create a high-octane sound that is impossible to ignore. The energy and sound remind me a little bit of some pop punk bands from the early 00s such as Fall Out Boy and Blink-182, while the aesthetic is more in line with Green Day. The video perfectly complements the intensity of the song. Inspired by the works of acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie, it takes us on a surreal adventure filled with unexpected twists and turns. The story revolves around two fed-up employees who decide to take matters into their own hands and kidnap their boss. What follows is a crazy montage filled with car chases, run-ins with the law, and a taste of what life could be like without limitations. Vintage visual effects add a touch of nostalgia, while art direction and set design create a gritty, urban atmosphere that perfectly complements its vibe.

DanceToFelix is set to drop its self-titled EP this month, featuring punk-inspired tunes and raw lyrics that reflect the struggles of growing up in a chaotic world. Frontman Ben honed the band's sound while in university, making this EP a true reflection of their journey toward self-discovery and individualism.
