‘Creation begins where destruction ends.’ — A new film by Sir Daniel Winn.

Blue-chip artist Sir Daniel Winn is expanding the scope of his creative endeavor into the realm of the “seventh art” with his upcoming film "Creation,” a visually stylized short set to be premiered at the 2022 Asian World Film Festival alongside the AWFF’s Oscar-submitted film at the Directors Guild of America Theater Complex in West Hollywood, CA.

As it befits a visual artist, "Creation" forgoes dialogues and words, formulating its core concepts and themes mainly through visual language aided by a musical vernacular set to immerse the viewer into the philosophical backdrop behind Sir Winn's artistic philosophy of "Existential Surrealism.”

Shot in and around Hollywood, Big Sur, Orange County, and Joshua Tree, "Creation" is a highly semiotic piece that narrates the appearance of a mysterious god-like artist who creates two complex figures ("Homme" and "Femme") and traverses various scenic biomes before returning home through a portal. The various sceneries presented in the film serve to illustrate a core concept of the film, namely that of contrast — also a core principle that Winn often emphasizes in this work.

"Light and dark, life and death, hot and cold, arid and lush, organic and inorganic, masculine and feminine. The dichotomies of these opposing factors and that fact that one without the other would have no significance is an underlying idea expressed in the film.” -Sir Daniel Winn

Sir Winn's artistic success and unique vision attracted a great deal of talent to the filming of this experimental piece. The film was directed by Angel E. Vera of "veraONEproductions" and produced by Emmy-winning Georges N. Chamchoum.

Vera is an award-winning cinematographer, director, and filmmaker. Born in Cusco, Peru. In 2018 he directed the international film entitled "Hong Kong, My City, My Home.” In 2019, he was the Director of Photography for the film "Lovers in a Dangerous Time.” And in 2022, he acted as Director of Photography for "Aamal,” which won Best Film at the Vision Film Festival in Europe.

Georges N. Chamchoum is an Emmy and multiple Award-winning film director, producer and film festival organizer born in Niger, West Africa of Lebanese origin. Chamchoum has directed and produced over 35 features between Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the USA, most of which have won awards at various international festivals.
