BORGEOUS' new ode to love and Los Angeles

Since his 2013 single debut with "Tsunami", John James Borger Jr. better known as BORGEOUS has been steadily climbing to the very top of the charts and the music game, scoring multiple top Billboard 10 hits and becoming a platinum-selling force with an international stage presence in over 110 countries and sold-out festival performances. Borger has inscribed his name in the annals of EDM history one groove at a time.

"Tsunami" became a huge hit for BORGEOUS, a defining moment in his career that quickly earned him well-deserved notoriety, but he was far from being a one-hit-wonder. Other Billboard charting hit songs by Borgeous include three tracks with Julia Michaels's “Invincible”, “They Don’t Know Us”, and “Wildfire”, “This Could Be Love” feat. Delaney Jane and Shaun Frank, and “Zero Gravity” with Lights. His 2016 debut album,13, reached #1 on iTunes and showcased a collection of acclaimed tracks with collaborations including Lil Jon, Sean Paul, Loud Luxury, Fatman Scoop, Neon Hitch, and more.

Borger was Born and Raised in Miami, borger no doubt picked up the scent of vibrant party beats being carried by the salty night breeze and he brought those sensibilities to his current base of operations in Los Angeles, a city that now seems to mean the world to this DJ, as it is where he truly started honing his musical aptitudes and paying his dues as a Nightclub DJ.

Six years in the making, "Ruin LA" is BORGEOUS' newest and perhaps most profound single release yet, with Borger himself revealing that “ Ruin LA’ touches me in a way no song ever has before.”. The track is like a bittersweet and heartbroken letter to L.A. and the many memories of both love and loss that can and have been formed with the city as the backdrop to it all. The lyrics of the song chronicle LA party vignettes met with retrospective outlooks on past heartbreak

To accompany this momentous new release, BORGEOUS put out an amazing and original music video reflecting this idea of the ups and downs of a romantic relationship where the sights and vibes of the city seem to play a key element of the people involved. The song itself was written by Borgeous in collaboration with Cara Salimando, and Jonny Price.
