We'd love to hear about your journey and what has shaped you into the influencer, singer, and actor you are today.

Hi! Thank you so much for having me! I started taking acting classes at an acting studio near my house around the age of 12, and I fell in love with the craft. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be an entertainer, whether it be an actor, singer, director, producer, or all of the above. I was a very persistent child and knew that if I put effort into something, I would be successful at some point, even if it took time.

Could you delve into your acting journey? What inspired you to pursue acting, and what have been some of the highlights of your career thus far, particularly in recent projects?

When I was a child, I loved watching TV shows and films with my parents. Every night when I finished my homework, we all got on the couch and watched one of my favorite TV shows at the time, probably something on Disney Channel or a film! I knew right away that I wanted to be a performer. It wasn’t until one day, when I was shopping at the mall with my mom and was stopped by a scouter for an acting program, that I then knew it was somewhat possible for me to pursue a career in acting.  Although it wasn’t until a bit later that I started auditioning, I loved my acting classes. They were the highlight of my week. The highlight of my career so far has been every project I’ve worked on. The first audition I went on was for a Yes To Carrots commercial, and I booked it. I was so excited to be on a professional set! This was the best project to jump-start my career.

What was it like collaborating with Francisco Ramos and the D’Ambrosio twins on “The Kids Table”? Can you share specific anecdotes or insights about your experience on the show?

Working with Stephen Glickman and The D’Ambrosio twins on “The Kids Table” was such a surreal experience. I grew up watching Stephen on Big Time Rush, so when I found out that I was going to be working on a project that he himself wrote, I was stoked. The D’Ambrisio twins are two of the most hardworking and dedicated young ladies I have ever met. We got so close through this project, they are now two of my best friends. I learn more and more from them every time we talk. The knowledge these two girls have is above and beyond their years. I had the best experience working on the set of “The Kids Table”. I remember so vividly how professional everyone was and how dedicated the entire cast and crew were to their careers.

Your foray into music with “Love Spell” last year was quite a surprise. What inspired this transition, and how does your musical journey align with your other creative pursuits?

Love Spell was the first single I released! I always had a love and passion for music, but didn’t know exactly how to turn the tables from acting to music while being able to do both at the same time. Being a musician and an actor go hand in hand. As a creative person, there are so many outlets to pour your heart and soul into. So if you love both, might as well pursue them all! Music has always helped me get through tough times, and I was like, “I want to be able to do this for other people too”. So that’s exactly what I did!

How do you balance your multiple roles as an influencer, singer, and actor? Do you find that these roles complement each other?

It’s definitely challenging when it comes to balancing being an influencer, singer, and actor. All three of them are full-time jobs. I’m lucky, though, because I love what I do! And yes, all three of these roles definitely complement each other. Acting and singing go hand in hand, and so does influencing! All three are creative outlets. I’m able to use my influence to promote my new projects when it comes to acting roles as well as new songs that I put out for my music career!

Can you walk us through the creative process behind your single “Love Spell”? What was the inspiration, and how did you bring your vision to life?

I went through a hard breakup and that’s when I really started writing. I wrote Love Spell right before Halloween, which is one of my favorite Holidays. My co-writer and I sat down, and I was so upset with my love life, I was like, “What if I did a love spell?” I didn’t actually do one, but that’s what inspired the song. I was very emo at that time. I’m a very pop-rock type of girl, and I knew what I wanted my song to sound like, and it turned out exactly the way I had envisioned.

Hillary, can you give us a hint about your future musical endeavors? Are there any upcoming projects in either acting or music that you’re excited about?

I have two singles coming out in the next few months! Both are a completely different style than my last two singles, but I really like them. I'm so excited about my listeners to hear. Both songs are very personal, so I’m a bit nervous to release them, but it’s gonna be good! I took a bit of a break from acting, but I’m now back in full swing, so I’m hoping I’ll be a part of some more projects in the near future.

What advice would you give to young aspiring actors and singers who look up to you and want to follow in your footsteps?

My biggest piece of advice is still something I have to remind myself every day. Don’t give up. If you love it, just do it. You will hear so many noes before you hear one “Yes” and that is ok, it’s all a part of the process! Enjoy the process because if you love it, it’s so worth it!
