Omar Apollo: God Said, "No" But We Said, "Yes"

I had the pleasure of attending Omar Apollo’s God Said No world tour when it made a stop in Miami, FL on September 16th at the FPL Solar Amphitheater in Bayfront Park. Despite the initially cloudy and rainy weather, the skies cleared up just in time for the concert. The opening act, Malcolm Todd, delivered an outstanding performance, complemented by near-perfect weather. This marked my second time seeing Omar Apollo live, with the first being in 2022 at Space Park Miami. The growth in his performance was palpable, with an impressive production and set that featured backup dancers, mesmerizing lighting designs, and multiple outfit changes. His vocal performance had notably improved, showcasing his ability to hit high notes that left the crowd in awe. Omar’s setlist was a perfect blend of songs from Apolonio, Ivory, and God Said No, appealing to both his long-time fans and newcomers. Even for those unfamiliar with his music, I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing one of his shows, as his talent transcends language barriers and is truly captivating.
