Being on such a hit show, fans are bound to know Dana, but do they really know her? well, with this interview they might get to know her a little bit more; check it out:
Tell us a little bit about “Mika” and the show Danger Force. What's your character's role in it and why do you think the show works?
“Mika” is the smart and sweet one, she is a leader and takes her role as a superhero very seriously. I think it makes for a great comedy because the characters are so different yet they complement each other.
Were you a comic book fan before Danger Force or is the show responsible for sparking that flame in you?
I have always been a comic book fan and it all started with Captain Underpants comics when I was in kindergarten. I would say, Cooper Barnes, “Captain Man” on the show, fanned the flame though.
Who would be a superhero/comic book character you think be perfect for a film or TV show adaptation?
I think Damien Wayne would be perfect for a 2-hour film. I know he’s been in some “Batman” movies, but he has such a fascinating backstory that would be amazing to watch.
We often ask musicians who inspired and influenced their sound the most, and I think the same applies to your artform. Who are the actors and actresses that have inspired you the most growing up?
Zendaya, Rowan Blanchard, and Cree Summer. Rowan made me want to act in children’s television, Zendaya’s work ethic inspired me, and Cree for her many voices.
You've done musical Theater before and you're looking forward to doing it again, even setting your sights on Broadway for the future. What's your dream musical to be in?
Actually, I would love to be in a new production. All of the musicals that I love cannot be matched, so I would love to do for others what the cast of Legally Blonde, Wicked, Beetlejuice and Hamilton have done for me.
On the same topic of music, who are your favorite bands/artists right now?
Right now I’m into System of a Down and The Weeknd.
Tell us a bit about who Dana Heath is when the cameras are not rolling. What are your hobbies? What interests do you have outside of acting?
I really love painting, reading, skating, and listening to music. I am very passionate about acting so there isn’t much else I want to do.
How do you balance your life as an actress in a successful TV show Vs that of a normal 16-year-old girl?
Despite the fact the show keeps me busy, I try to make time for fun activities with my friends and family.
Digging around online it says that you were born in Andorra, is that correct? Is that a part of your identity at all?
I’m not sure where that came from but I grew up in Sunny Isles Beach (Miami) Florida but moved to LA in 4th grade.
Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
In 10 years I hope to be on the big screen or doing a Broadway production.
