Venezuelan alt rapper Cherry V is giving audiences a “Dolce Vida” with her new single.
Venezuelan artist, Latino rapper, energy healer, and clown -yes, clown- born as Veronica Osorio A.K.A Cherry V , captivates audiences with her music. Having released her latest single pretty recently, she's delivering an energy-infused single with hip-hop, rap, and alternative all in one package.
While Cherry was born in the US she was raised in Venezuela, where she grew up alongside her brother. Since she was a child, Veronica has played various musical and theater roles in Venezuela. She became a professional theater actress at the age of 10 and has recorded musical albums for various plays including Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and Puck in Shakespeare's Midsummer's Night Dream. Having trained in clowning, acrobatics, and juggling, she has appeared in several circus acts and improv shows.
In Venezuela, Veronica worked in films like Taita Boves, directed by Luis Alberto Lamata. During her volunteer work with children's hospitals, she even worked with Patch Adams himself. In addition, at age 19, she was the youngest theater director for the Skena Company. She fled the country following the kidnapping of her father, but thankfully he was returned home after the ramson was paid. Clown nose in hand, she moved to NYC alone. Her talent was recognized by DJ13, the highly renowned rapper and producer. Under his wing and his Aristocracia team, Cherry has released three singles, "No Choques", "Space Venus" and now "Dolce Vida". All her singles were produced by Venezuelan beat master Un Tal Yupi, making this a trifecta of talent.
