Miss Machina Can’t Listen to “Nirvana” Anymore

Originating from the vibrant heart of Dallas, TX, Miss Machina emerges as a hard-hitting pop-rock artist, infusing her music with raw energy and captivating melodies. Prior to her relocation to Los Angeles, her artistic roots thrived in the world of musical theatre during her formative years in Chicago, Illinois. This immersive experience cultivated a distinct perspective on musical storytelling, shaping the very essence of her unique and captivating style.

Machina’s latest song is titled “Nirvana”, and yes, it is named after the band, but not exactly as a homage. The song portrays how everyday activities such as grocery shopping or driving while Nirvana pops on the music player, now evoke memories of Miss Machina's previous partner, making said memories feel painful and different.

“Nirvana was written a year ago from the heart of my small LA apartment. In fact, most of the song was written and finished in that very apartment. It's a song birthed from one of my most heartbreaking... and ironically mature relationships.”

The forlorn melody of "Nirvana" by Miss Machina delves into the depths of heartbreak and the arduous journey of letting go. Through poignant lyrics, her profound emotional attachment to an ex-lover is unveiled, entwined with the struggle to release her grip on the past.

The song develops as if Miss Machina is reminiscing about shared moments and encountering bittersweet reminders in the backdrop of her day-to-day. The chorus reverberates with the weight of her inability to find solace, as the mere mention of the beloved band that gives the song its title becomes a poignant symbol of shattered bliss. In this symphony of emotions, "Nirvana" resonates as a testament to the complexities and challenges of unshackling oneself from a past love.
