Mindy Gledhill’s “Long Distance Lullaby” Is a Touching Anthem of Inner Reconciliation

In her touching single “Long Distance Lullaby,” Mindy Gledhill delivers a deeply emotional journey into self-love and inner reconciliation. The song emerges as a sonic epiphany, a testament to self-love, and an anthem of personal triumph.

As part of her new album “The Phone Booth Sessions Vol. 1,” this track marks not only a significant evolution in Mindy Gledhill's career but also a profound personal and artistic growth.  “Long Distance Lullaby” is an intimate melody where Mindy sings to herself to find peace and comfort. The deeply emotional lyrics address the act of soothing her inner child and confronting pain with courage. Mindy Gledhill’s words, “Bold, but never too much / Strong, but never too tough / Worthy as hell and you’ve always been more than enough,” resonate with heartfelt sincerity, offering a message of affirmation and unconditional love.

The Phone Booth Sessions Vol. 1” is the follow-up to 2019's “Rabbit Hole,” a collection of songs about Mindy's decision to leave the Mormon faith. This album sees her on the other side of that experience and addressing her inner child, a series of love songs to herself, all inspired by a vintage phone booth she found in a thrift store that ultimately served as a recording booth for her vocals.

The music video, which Mindy Gledhill produced, directed, and edited herself, visually extends the song’s essence. Shot with an old Canon camera, the video captures Mindy at the iconic piano, bringing the song to life through a poignant depiction.

The telephone booth, adorned with relics of past lives, serves as a metaphor for time travel, while her niece, Olivia, portrays her young self. The final transition, where the child emerges from the booth to meet her adult self, symbolizes the integration of past and present selves in a moment of love and healing.

Mindy Gledhill is a Utah-based singer, songwriter, and producer, as well as the founder and owner of The Forge Collective—a historic building in Provo, UT, where creatives from various artistic disciplines rent studio spaces. Her vocals are featured on Kaskade’s Grammy-nominated album “Fire & Ice,” including the global hit single “Eyes.”

Mindy's music has appeared on primetime TV shows such as “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Bones,” “The Good Wife,” and “The Village” to name a few, as well as in an Olympic ad campaign for Fruit of the Loom and a Super Bowl commercial for State Farm.

With a #1 single in Korea, sold-out tours in Japan and the U.S., and collaborations ranging from EDM giants to bluegrass revivalists and symphony orchestras, Mindy Gledhill's diverse musical journey adds depth to her latest work. Set for release next September 17, “The Phone Booth Sessions Vol. 1” is a continuation of her personal evolution, and “Long Distance Lullaby” invites listeners to embrace their own inner healing.
