"Hell" hath no fury like GRIPPA's

Out of the primordial soup that is the Chaos of youth rises GRIPPA! with tiny plastic babies amidst her blond locks and bean cans laid at her feet, this 16-year-old artist stands boldly as a pop non-diva singing candidly about heartache with an empowering twist.

GRIPPA freely admits to trailblaze ever onward inspired by iconic female artists such as Lady Gaga and Doja Cat, flying that banner of fun, wild creativity and deconstructing the enshrined image of the "Pop Diva" into a different kind of idol, one that deeply connects with her audience as a real, flawed human being who inspires and is inspired to overcome.

The young singer-songwriter certainly has a belly full of fire, you can have your ears scorched by it in her newest song, "Hell", a break-up song specifically dealing with that stage where most of what you feel is anger towards what the other person put you through leading up to the collapse of the relationship and the emotional turmoil of the aftermath.

In the rather comical music video, we see GRIPPA adopt the guise of a multi-faceted sorceress, part Fortuneteller, and part Voodoo witch as she hexes and torments her former lover to make him have a terrible day, just so he feels a little bit of what she felt.

"YX and I wanted to do a song that was different from the rest of them that one was more upbeat and aggressive incorporating a rock element. The whole EP was based off a real breakup and this song is when you start to get mad after all the sad you went through and you start to wish that the other person goes through the same thing that you did. The music video plays off this idea where the ex ends up having the day from hell where everything goes wrong."

Her sound is definitely on the pop side of things, but this release is also poised with the grit and edge of Rock music that she promised. Her vocal delivery is deservedly haughty and proud, with a scathing flick to each verse just to let us know that Hell truly hath no fury as a woman scorned.
