HeartMouth Knows You Know.

“Love can be such a tricky thing - you can fall for someone, and there isn't a thing you can do about it,"

Created and spearheaded by singer and songwriter Casey Allen, HeartMouth is an indie pop-rock project making huge waves out of the North Carolina Scene, waves powerful enough that the folks over at SoCal Records noticed and signed him right up for a string of single releases that will come to a head with the release of a Debut EP later this year.

Today, HeartMouth is releasing his newest single+Music video, and it's called “I Know You Know (Wrapped Around Your Finger)”. This incredibly crispy new song is about a strange sort of helplessness that comes when you've fallen for someone and you feel like they could just do whatever they wanted with you. “The other person has you wrapped around their finger, and they know it" says - you just have to trust the process and hope that they're gentle with your heart.”

“If I’m happy, then I don’t tend to write music, I just kind of live in the moment, but whenever I’m going through something difficult, music is kind of like my therapy.”

The story of HeartMouth feels already quite triumphant in the face of the hardships he's had to endure throughout his life. Casey sings like a man who knows the value of it, and of course he does, especially after having suffered multiple lung collapses over the years, it's evident in the intensity with which he performs that he's found a keen appreciation for the act of breathing alone, never mind singing and belting out his lyrics. All of this seems to loop back around to the name of his music project itself too-- let what lies in your heart be unapologetically confessed through your mouth-- his confession is genuine emotion and deep love for every note that he hits.

Alongside the song's release, HeartMouth is issuing a colorful music video as a companion piece. It was shot, directed, and edited by Garrett Barefoot of Blackplate Productions.
