CURSE Is Here to Shake Up the Rock Scene With Their New Single “MIND”

CURSE Live at El Corazon

This new year promises to be an explosive year for rock fans, and CURSE is ready to lead the charge after a year marked by numerous shows, songs, and a growing fan base. Sometimes classified as rock, other times as metal, the best descriptor for their sound is definitely alternative. One thing is certain: they're here to blow your mind. Get ready for a sonic explosion as they drop their latest track, "MIND," a high-energy anthem that showcases their raw power and unstoppable chemistry.

Though composed of four individuals, they operate with remarkable synergy, working in perfect unison, often feeling like a single, cohesive unit. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and infusing them into their music, they embody the true spirit of rock.

"MIND" launches with a powerful introduction. The vocalist's voice pierces through, delivering an explosion of emotion. Aggressive guitars and energetic drums quickly join the mix. The chorus, repeating "I think I'm losing my mind," resonates universally, capturing a feeling everyone experiences at some point. The production quality of "MIND" is top-notch, characterized by a polished yet raw sound that captures the band's intense energy. Each instrument is meticulously balanced, allowing the guitars and drums to shine without overpowering the electrifying vocals. The crisp, clear production enhances the song's emotional impact, creating an exhilarating listening experience. CURSE's style is reminiscent of alternative metal bands like Alter Bridge, making it a perfect fit for fans of that hard-hitting style.

"The song was written in 2020 during peak political/pandemic stress and digital burnout," the band explains. "I was sitting in my studio with my head on my desk and said out loud, ‘I THINK I’M LOSING MY MIND,’  which is how the song opens. I probably actually said ‘losing my F*CKING mind’ but that's too many syllables for a chorus. The song deals with that feeling of being in the digital sphere and everything is screaming for your attention, mostly to sell you shit or manipulate you somehow. Even though it's a few years later, I think we’re all in the same headspace, so unfortunately, the song might be more relevant."

"MIND" was produced by legendary producer Michael Beinhorn, who has previously worked with iconic bands such as Soundgarden and Korn. It serves as the first taste of CURSE's upcoming debut album, "Not Enjoying The Future," set for release on March 22. Mark your calendars and keep a close eye on what's to come.
