Emerging from the shadows of her previous persona, ANDREA –previously known as Emma Cole– is stepping into the spotlight with a fierce new identity and a sound that reverberates with the raw energy of the 90s riot grrrl punk movement. Her latest single, "Milk Money," is a battle cry for a generation grappling with the complexities of modern American life.

"Milk Money" is Part II of ANDREA’s trilogy that explores the themes of The Past, The Present, and The Future. Following her earlier EP, "ANALOG GURL," this new chapter showcases her growth as an artist.

Recorded in Eagle Rock, California, this song is a tour-de-force of ANDREA’s commitment to authenticity, bringing together a collective of like-minded, female-identifying, and non-binary musicians to create a vibrant sonic tapestry that challenges the status quo.

Co-produced with her longtime collaborator Chris Caplan and mixed by Ian Rosales, the song bursts with energy and authenticity. With a lineup that includes the talented Grethel Bonilla on guitar, Kinseli Baricuatro on bass, and Marian Li-Pino on drums, it’s a dynamic celebration of sound that invites everyone to join in the fun.

Lyrically, "Milk Money" playfully pokes at the complexities of modern life, asking whether the American dream has turned into a bit of a con. ANDREA’s witty and insightful lyrics encourage listeners to reflect while tapping their feet to the infectious beat. It’s a refreshing take on societal issues, delivered with a wink and a nudge, making it clear that while the world may be a little chaotic, there’s always room for a good time and a good tune.

Now, we had the opportunity to watch the unreleased music video for "Milk Money" and we must say it is pure DIY raw punk rock energy, with its high-paced and in-your-face shooting style in the intimate setting of a recording studio, where we get a really good glimpse into ANDREA’s charisma as a frontwoman, as well as the sheer power and stage presence of her all-women band.

In her own words, “Choosing to go back to my given name, ANDREA is me giving myself permission to remove the mask I have been hiding behind, to step into revealing who I really am. I have always been a rebellious spirit, and I am no longer afraid to tell it like it is.”

This lighthearted yet powerful sentiment underscores her transformation and newfound freedom. With "Milk Money," ANDREA invites us all to embrace our true selves, celebrate our stories, and dance through the ups and downs of life.
